Abstract

This paper approaches the second and third formulation of an interpretation philosophy in Luigi Pareyson. The proposed thesis is the aesthetics presupposes an interpretation’s philosophy as theoretical foundation. In other words, Pareyson’s aesthetics is an interpretation because, to Pareyson, the interpretation is not something external to the human operate, but, on the contrary, constitutes it ontologically. The italian philosopher writings Estetica. Teoria della formatività, of 1954, and  Verità e interpretazione, of 1971, together constitutes the second and third formulation of an interpretation’s philosophy in Luigi Pareyson, which will be the basis to affirm our thesis
