Ester Jordana, profesora asociada en Bau, Centro Universitario de Diseño y en la Universidad de Barcelona (UB). Forma parte de la Cátedra de Filosofía Contemporánea (UB) y colabora con el Grupo de investigación en Diseño y Transformación Social (GREDITS) en la línea de investigación de “Objetologías”. Está finalizando su tesis doctoral en la Universidad de Barcelona titulada “Être autrement: el ser como transformación en Michel Foucault”. Su investigación gira en torno a la noción de transformación en sus múltiples perspectivas - estética, política, histórica y ontológica- tratando de dar cuenta de cómo desde el pensamiento, el arte y la política se pueden generar experiencias de transformación.
Since the publication in 1966, the attention provoked by The order of things has been focused on two fundamental axes: on the one hand, the characterization of the historical epistemes and its discontinuities and, on the other hand, the diagnosis of the death of the man that unfolds at the end of the book. Nevertheless, as we’ll see, these diagnoses are also based on the analysis of the historical constitution of the sign and of the language. Taking this perspective, we will be able to show how apart from the characterization of the three epistemes the book is crossed by some movements of return. This double dimension of discontinuity and return allows to underline the nietzschean structure inherent in the archaeological methodology. On the other hand, Foucault’s commitment to abandon the anthropological space, as we shall see, will be lead by exploring the possible areas of thought that the literature can open.
