This article deals with some of the primary difficulties derived from the interpretation of Aristotelian thought in the contemporary world. It begins by considering the influences of the Academy's context on Aristotelian thought, including the link to the Platonic reference. Afterwards, distinct veins of Aristotelian thought are analyzed according to the main focuses of their diverse interpreters in the history of Western philosophy. In third order, a revision is made of the concept of the not-being in Aristotle, alluding to new possibilities of interpretation as a function of his idea of the limit
