Abstract

Adopting Nancy Fraser´s three-dimensional theory as its analytical framework, this paper examines the debate surrounding the regulation of sex work from a social justice perspective. Through a critical review of the various positions on the regulation of sex work, it analyses the normative situation in Chile and contrasts different international regulatory models. The central hypothesis argues that only an approach which considers the dimensions of redistribution, recognition, and participation can provide a normative assessment of the various legal proposals.
