Abstract

his article deals with the philosophy of Jean-Jacques Rousseau, starting from his notion of Nature, which functions as a regulatory idea. The effect is paradoxical; the premises and consequences are Christian, but such a category is hostile to this religion. Beginning with Hume and stopping at Emilio, the resulting aporias are shown
