The following paper has the main aim of studying the Husserl´s scheme of overlap of acts, that establishes the foundation of all predicative experience (or categorical) in the pre-predicative (or pre-categorical), and, more precisely, analyzing the attentional moment that links both level of our experiences. Accordingly, the present text has three parts. First I will study the distinction between sensible and categorical intuition developed by this philosopher in the sixth Logical Investigation. Second, and following the comments made by Dieter Lohmar about this doctrine, I will examine thoroughly the role of attention in this theory. Last, I will address the distinction between pre-predicative and predicative experience as presented by Husserl in Experience and judgement in the context of his genetic philosophy.
