Abstract

The present work is an effort to explore the links between life and the possibility to be narrated, as well as the models employed by an autobiographer at the moment to set the tale of his life starting with the analysis of the Memoires of the critic Pedro Henríquez Ureña. The base hypotheses of the present research is that, in the Memoires of Henríquez Ureña, the familiar universe and the arielism are both “models of vital reality” that allow him to articulate his narration in a way that evidences his intellectual nurture
