In this paper we will try to understand and analyze the present implications of two thesis of the American philosopher Richard Rorty, related with his ethnocentrism: The global expansion of the liberal western democracy as a political goal and the reduction of personal beliefs to the private sphere. We will compare them with the theories of two other authors: An anthropological interpretation of the wittgensteinian language-games and the radical democracy by Chantal Mouffe.
