Harcourt es Profesor Isidor and Seville Sulzbacher de Derecho y Profesor de Ciencias Políticas en la Universidad de Columbia y Director fundador del Centro de Pensamiento Crítico Contemporáneo de Columbia. Además, es profesor titular de la École des Hautes Études en Sciences Sociales. Es autor de Critique & Praxis: A Critical Philosophy (Columbia University Press, 2020) y The Counterrevolution (Basic Books, 2018).
